Ascension of the Lord
Going to Mass with our 3,2 and 1 year olds can be rather challenging! Usually we can get the older 2 through, but Isaac is in his "screaming" stage. He screams when he's hungry, thirsty, tired, can't get a toy to go the way he wants, you name it, he'll scream about it. Today was a good day, Isaac made it through the Gospel. That means I was able to really listen to the homily. Father started out by asking "what is the hardest part of parenting" he went through general answers per each stage of childhood. As he continued saying the hardest part most parents of older children would say "letting go" is the toughest. Jesus was with his apostles and there came a time He had to let go. Letting go is a concept difficult for me to imagine with my kiddos being at a young age, but letting go doesn't mean they're out of my life. Jesus isn't out of our lives. He's right here waiting for us to call on Him. He may not be near to touch, but He's always near to help, listen, care, and love!
